A disszertáció a szereplők rendszerét vizsgálja Guy de Maupassant válogatott novelláiban. A narratológia terén A. J. Greimas aktánsmodellje, Ph. Hamon szemiológiai szereplőmodellje és G. Genette nézőpont-meghatározása szolgált elméleti keretül, míg a szövegnyelvészetet B. Combettes szövegkoherenciára vonatkozó elmélete és vizsgálatai képviselték. Az értekezés fő célkitűzése a szereplő fogalmának új szempontok alapján történő értelmezése az irodalmi elbeszélő szövegekben

This thesis aims to present the system of characters in a selection of short stories by Guy de Maupassant. In the field of narratology, analyses were carried out using A. J. Greimas’ actantial model, Ph. Hamon’s semiological model of character and G. Genette’s definition of ‘point of view’, whereas text linguistics was represented by B. Combettes’ approach to textual coherence. The main objective was to propose new aspects for the evaluation of character (personnage) in literary narrative.
