Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease that affects millions of people worldwide, causing joint pain, swelling, and progressive joint damage. Over the years, significant advances have been made in the development of pharmacological treatments for RA, aiming to alleviate symptoms, slow disease progression, and improve the quality of life for affected individuals. This thesis provides a comprehensive review of modern pharmacological medications used in the management of RA, exploring their mechanisms of action, efficacy, safety profiles, and future prospects.
