This thesis describes the design and implementation of an electropneumatic control system utilizing a Beckhoff CX6030 industrial controller and TwinCAT 3 software. Based on literature review of automation fundamentals, electropneumatics, PLCs, and integration methods, Festo cylinders, 5/2-way solenoid valves, Proximity sensors were selected. They were interfaced with one another via EtherCAT I/O terminals into modular system structure. Control logic was developed in Ladder Logic for I/O and Structured Text for conditions and timers, from a basic single-cylinder sequence to a more advanced two-cylinder cycle with safety interlocks. Hardware and software integration involved proper wiring, pneumatic connections, and proper I/O configuration in TwinCAT. The project offers a reusable integration platform, logic design schematics, and performance details, demonstrating stable and accurate control suitable for industrial or academic use.
