Introduction of the benefits of debating in the classroom based on international research and discussion of the Hungarian educational framework and the opportunities for integrating debate into the classroom. Presentation of author's own surveys that examine the topic of debating in Hungary and the possible use of this method in the future in schools and in teacher training.
