The main aim of my thesis is to draw attention to the great idea of applying computers in language learning and teaching. Besides, I have collected the most important historical background of computers in the second chapter. Then I come to the point of the appearance of computers and their application in education. In the next chapter I introduce CALL, which is not a method but rather a tool which helps teachers to promote the language learning process. Later I establish a connection between the computer and the Internet including programs developing spelling skills (gallows tree) and e – Learning as a new teaching form. Everyone knows what e – Learning means, many of us use it, and today we can find everything on the Internet.hu_HU
