Since America is one of the leading superpowers of the world, everybody has certain preconceptions about its land, democracy and people. Most of us have heard about phrases concerning America such as “Melting Pot”, “American Dream”, “City Upon a Hill”, “Manifest Destiny”, “Salad Bowl” or the “Promised Land”.
