The main purpose of my thesis is to shed light on the various different kinds of motivations and their influence on language learning. In the first half of my thesis I attempt to do it by reviewing the relevant books published in this area. In addition, I prepared a questionnaire measuring the degree of motivation in three different age groups, whose results I am going to present in the second part of the essay. Many scholarly literature deal with the reasons that drive different people representing distinct age groups to learn a new language. Besides, I try to find the answer to the relations between age, attitude and motivation.hu_HU
