Access to health systems could be disturbed in many countries because of conflicts, wars, humanitarian crises and others. Syria had many years of political stability and was growing economically. It was also developing in all aspects like human development, in addition to a great improvement in the health field. Since the crisis has started in 2011 and at the beginning of the conflict, the population has been severely affected. Primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare services in Syria have deteriorated due to damaged health facilities. The Syrian armed conflict was one of the major focuses of WHO in aspect of health in terms of emergencies and conflicts. Thus, the WHO set a system to monitor the availability of health services during emergencies (HeRAMS, Health Resources Availability Monitoring System), In addition to many other programs. The health system in Syria needed to be studied in terms of availability and accessibility to population. This research tries to highlight these problems using HeRAMS assessment tools and other available data, which can assess health systems in different levels.Qualitative analysis of Health system in Syria was conducted. Health system was divided into Health centers, hospitals and human resources. Facilities were assessed in terms of number, accessibility, functionality, density, infrastructural patterns and other categories were identified. This gave an overview on the situation. The already existed gap in the health system has widened through the conflict. Health centers and hospital have minimum standards for functioning, which prevent population access to services and result in low quality treatments in addition to exhausting already sources.hu_HU
