Pharmacological Management of Preterm Labor
Absztrakt
Preterm labor is defined as labor before 37 gestational weeks and is a significant challenge in obstetric care, with the potential adverse outcome for both the mother and the neonate. The current preventive methods include the utilization of reproductive hormones particularly Exogenous progesterone, cervical cerclage, and pessary. Treatment strategies involve the administration of tocolytic to inhibit uterine contraction and enable the administration of corticosteroids for fetal lung maturation.
