The two conflicting points of view arrived to an incompatible issue: could national security aiming to prevent probable terrorist attacks clamor American people for sacrificing their civil liberties? Is this an appropriate method for the protection of homeland safety of the United States? Did a new period start for civil liberties after September 11, 2001, as well? All these questioned woke up my curiosity, and inspired me to prepare a comparative study about the current debate of security versus liberty. My aim is to provide an impartial, balanced analysis of the two opposing, sometimes intermingling points of view.hu_HU
