dc.description.abstractAz ektoparazita Laboulbeniales gombák rendje meglehetősen alulkutatott. A gazdáikra gyakorolt hatásaik és elterjedésük hosszú ideig szinte teljesen ismeretlen volt. A hat, hangyákat fertőző Laboulbeniales gombafajról megjelent tudományos publikációk szinte kizárólag csak az új elterjedési adatokat, a morfológiájukat valamint a hangyagazdahasználatukat taglalták. A disszertációban az Európában előforduló hangyaparazita Laboulbeniales gombák elterjedését vizsgáltuk, elsősorban természettudományi múzeumok gyűjteményeiben található szárazpreparátumok vizsgálata alapján, valamint laboratóriumi körülmények közt tanulmányoztam a Rickia wasmannii gombafaj hatását a Myrmica scabrinodis hangyafajra. Az eredmények alapján az európai hangyaparazita Laboulbeniales gombák szélesebb körben elterjedtek lehetnek mint az korábban gondoltuk, valamint a R. wasmannii gombafajnak jelentős hatása van a M. scabrinodis hangyafajra. Elsőként sikerült kimutatni a L. camponoti és a R. lenoirii jelenlétét a Kárpát-medencéből, mely e két faj legészakibb előfordulási adatainak tekinthetőek. A gomba jelentősen csökkentette a fertőzött dolgozók agresszivitását, bátorságát valamint csökkentette az egyedek túlélését víz és élelemmegvonás alatt. Ezek az eredmények az elsők közt bizonyították két hangyaparazita Laboulbeniales faj előfordulását a Kárpát-medencében, valamit a R. wasmannii negatív hatását a M. scabrinodis hangyára.
dc.description.abstractThe order of the ectoparasitic Laboulbeniales fungi is rather understudied. For a long time, their impact on their hosts and their distribution was almost completely unknown. The scientific publications on the six species of Laboulbeniales fungi that infect ants have almost exclusively focused on new distribution data, their morphology and their host use. In this dissertation, the distribution of the ant parasitic Laboulbeniales fungi in Europe was investigated, mainly by examining dry specimens in natural history museum collections, and the impact of the fungus Rickia wasmannii on the ant species Myrmica scabrinodis was studied under laboratory conditions. The results suggest that the European ant parasitic Laboulbeniales fungi may be more widespread than previously thought and that the fungal species R. wasmannii has a significant effect on the ant species M. scabrinodis. For the first time, L. camponoti and R. lenoirii have been detected from the Carpathian Basin, which are considered to be the northernmost occurrences of these two species. The fungus significantly reduced the aggressiveness and boldness of infected workers and reduced survival of individuals during water and food deprivation. These results were among the first to demonstrate the occurrence of two ant parasitic Laboulbeniales species in the Carpathian Basin and the negative impact of R. wasmannii on M. scabrinodis ants.
