"We All Go a Little Mad Sometimes"
Absztrakt
This thesis explores the different cinematographic representations of Dissociative Identity Disorder. It argues that most portrayals of the disorder strengthen the stigmatisation of the illness. The films examined and contrasted in the text are Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho (1960), Daniel Petrie’s Sybil (1976), James Mangold’s Identity (2003) and M. Night Shyamalan’s Split (2016).
