This paper is exploring the historical milestones of women in higher education in the United States and in Hungary, look at two underrepresented communities, black women in the United States and Gypsy women in Hungary, and look at the financial aids that women can receive in the two countries. It is comparing the two countries in those aspects and try to find answers to what the reasons for the possible differences can be. At the end, there is a small section dedicated for practical considerations that could be made in the classroom to help students, especially women.
