The paper provides information about whether the use of interactive whiteboards (IWB) and the incorporation of culture teaching in the primary school foreign language classroom lead to more effective language learning. The aims of my investigation are, on the one hand, to prove that learning about the culture of the target nation from the very beginning has crucial role in motivating learners and gaining a better understanding of implicit meanings of expressions in the target language. On the other hand, evidence is also shown about that the use of an IWB surely gives more varied options in culture teaching and it saves time, energy, place and money, too. Additionally, this thesis also aims to prove that since IWBs easily serve learners with different learning styles and learners with special needs, students taught with the help of this new technological device can gain deeper and wider knowledge generally and in cultural aspects, too.hu_HU
