dc.description.abstractThis thesis aims to shed light over the newest treatment measures to prevent stroke in patients suffering from atrial fibrillation. Atrial fibrillation is a very complex disease with mutiple inter-relating causes culminating in rapid, seemingly disorganized atrial activation. If this dis-organized activity in the atrium leads to thrombus formation, stroke, a severe manifestation resulting inevitably in death of the patient, occurs.hu_HU
