This is a study in the area of second language acquisition where the focus on the 9th grader English prep students’ attitudes and motivation towards learning English as a second language in class settings at Vay Adam Secondary School. The main questions that appeared, why some of the students’ attitude to learning is so bad, the second question is whether they are so much undermotivated, thirdly, what their problems are with second language learning. These questions arose because the questioned pollee students have sixteen English lessons a week, and they are supplied with almost all technologies that nowadays goes for the most modern ones (eg. Interactive whiteboard, language labs, learning software programmes like Mentors and X –class), to make their language learning easier, but their achievement don’t reflect the progress they should have. For this research qualitative methods will be used that include questionnaires for both the students, and their teachers.
