The purpose of this dissertation is to identify the language learning strategy preference of Hungarian postgraduate students and to find out whether there are any differences between introvert and extrovert students with respect to their language learning strategy preferences. The research is carried out at the Institute of English and American Studies of the University of Debrecen among in-service final year students of English. The quantitative data which forms the basis of the research is gained on the one hand through the Questionnaire Strategy Inventory for Language Learning, which investigates students’ language learning strategy preference, and on the other hand through the Golden Profiler of Personality Questionnaire, which investigates students’ personality types.hu_HU
