Discussing the last two chapters I tried to illustrate what are the similarities and differences between different types of dictionaries in chapter 2 and what types of dictionaries children use and why in chapter 3. To draw a conclusion, one cannot state that this and that dictionary are better than these or those. Children did not make any such statements; they just mentioned the advantages and disadvantages of the dictionaries they use as the possible reasons of their choice between the dictionaries. It is indisputable that they should use dictionaries more often than they do. Computer dictionaries work fast but students should also use printed ones and we have to encourage them to use monolingual dictionaries.
