The dystopian film "Paradise" (2023) by David Kunz is the subject of this thesis. By using critical gerontology, cultural and gender studies, as well as sociopolitical theory this research analyzes the ageing process portrayed in film. It examines the relationship between ageing and biopolitical discourses, emphasizing the moral and social ramifications that it has in precarious subjects and women. The way that aging is portrayed in movies reflects current concerns within a dystopian capitalist framework.
