Analysing the translation of the first part of the "Smoking Section" by David Sedaris

Abstract

This thesis includes the translation of "Smoking Section" written by David Sedaris, a contemporary writer. I analysed my own translation, and focused on hardly translatable phrases, e.g. American slang and culture-specific expressions.
