The aim of this thesis is to prove that the idea of multiculturalism is part of everyday life in Canada, and the educational system is established and managed according to the slogan: ˝Unity in Diversity˝. In order to do that I have chosen to introduce how it works in the province of Ontario. Two questions arise from these statements. Why has education been appointed to be the setting of the examination? Why has Ontario been chosen from the ten provinces of Canada? Schools have been attached to political, phylosophical ideas and sociological processes from the ancient times. What is the role of education in societies? Students gain knowledge, their value system is shaped, the ability of critical thinking is developed here. Education is the most important determinant of economic success and new ideologies are also infused into the community. The educational system of the democratic countries must be egalitarian providing equal opportunity to each member of the society.hu_HU
