Absztrakt
Hypertension accounts for one of the chronic diseases that increases the morbidity, mortality and reduces the quality of life mostly in the aging population. Early intervention is key to reduce the growing worldwide epidemic of hypertension and end organ damage that can be caused by resistant hypertension. Hypertensive pharmaceuticals are aimed at slowing the progression and treating the underlying causes of hypertension. This thesis will focus on the current pharmacological treatment of hypertension and the emerging novel drugs in clinical trials that pose more efficient ways with lesser side effects that can aid in decreasing the mortality of hypertension.
