More than 60 years have passed, since the first research in the field and there have been a lot of steps taken towards a highly improved machine translation system, but still, if somebody needs translation and uses the public tools designed for this purpose, the results are usually not satisfactory. As we will see from this chapter of the Thesis, researchers met lots of technically and linguistically significant obstacles that in most of the cases seem impossible to be solved. Thus, the question occurs: Can we talk about a revolution in the field of machine translation? Is it possible that there will be a perfect system that can totally replace human sources in translation? Is there a way to success? Let us see, how the whole research had started and what kind of developments it had gone through, to be able to answer these questions above.hu_HU
