In this thesis I try to highlight the attitude of the secondary school students towards pair work based speaking tasks. These types of tasks have been known for language teachers for a long time and show a great variety but these are not the only reasons why my choice fell to this issue. Pair work based speaking tasks are part of the oral examination of severe popular language exams so they are becoming more and more interesting for the students as well. These reasons made me observe what role the pair work based speaking tasks play in ELT classrooms.hu_HU
