Managing human resources in the field of agribusiness (Case Konsoni)

Absztrakt

The aspiration of this research was to provide a description of the challenges of human resources (HR) in agribusiness. The thesis argues that the most important challenges of employees (HR) lay down into four categories which are: (1) the development of HR through education, trainings and planning of their career; (2) motivation of HR, which is also related with interpersonal relations and other external factors; (3) the importance of the communication and collaboration inside the company and (4) HR working conditions related to the health and safety. Because of the necessity of conceptualizing the research and draw on employees personal experiences, a qualitative approach in a case study method was selected. The method triangulation was applied, as eleven semi-structured interviews were conducted with the management and employees of the company and participatory observation took place to sum up the data collection and analysis. Finally, the results of the findings provide the description of the HRM, its establishment inside the company, its functions and roles and the employees’ structure. It continues with a description of the means that company uses to develop their employees, their deficiency in this area and the recommendations of potential options. The study also tries to identify the motivators that drive the employees of the chosen company and to the motivators management uses to accomplish this. Through results analysis, it was also tempted to prove distinguish the importance of communication in an agribusiness company in order to be considered successful. And lastly, the study also describes the working conditions inside the company and the protective means that the company uses.
