Prevalence of health-damaging behaviors among foreign students in the University of Debrecen
Absztrakt
The university life has the greatest impact for students to be more open to many health-damaging behaviors including being a smoker or regular drinker. The aim of this study is to investigate the prevalence and risk factors of smoking and drinking among medical and non-medical international students in the University of Debrecen, Hungary. The study confirmed that gender, age, the existence of a family member who smoke or drink, university’s social event, friends and mental status play a significant role on smoking and drinking behavior among university students.
