In the first part of this thesis I will examine the translation difficulties arising from the inherent cultural differences of the source text and the translation, the problems of translating humour and the issues of translating fictional literary texts. This part of the thesis will also examine whether the resulting translation still succeeded in conveying the core messages of the original and if the enjoyability of the text was harmed in the process. In the second section I will move onto the translation or dubbing of the 2019 miniseries adaptation of the work and investigate how this showcased further mistakes in the translation of the work and finally, in the last section I will touch on possible better solutions for a re-translation of the literary work. Finally I will argue for the persisting validity and relevance of re-translations in the field of literary works.
