dc.description.abstractSyria has suffered from two Poliovirus outbreaks during the war, one in 2013 and another one in 2017. As the lead UN agency for the health sector, WHO collaborated with central and local health officials, UN agencies, local and international NGOs, and community-based organizations in both government and non-government-controlled areas. WHO and its partners settled on joint strategic goals and work plans, to monitor progress, core indicators and unified reporting systems were used.hu_HU
