Absztrakt

Films are greatly different from novels in their methods of establishing identification of the readers/viewers with the characters. Novels can promote identification by different narrative techniques, but movies take advantage of different filmic techniques to promote identification for the audience. Identification is an inevitable process in cinema and the camera can transfer the vision of characters by using subjective shots or point-of-view shots in the film. These techniques convey the subjective view of what the character sees and these shots immediately facilitate that the audience can identify with the character whose point of view is presented in the film.
