dc.description.abstractMy research focuses on Abigail Adams' endeavors to equal rights. She managed to break out of the constraints of the expectations toward her sex. She became a public figure who influenced many contemporary politicians. Although American women contributed to the American Revolution, men did not acknowledge women's merit to become citizens. Abigail Adams advocated equal rights for women, such as the right to education. She believed that educated women could contribute to the public good.hu_HU
