Aftermath 9/11: Restrictions on Air Travel Security in the United States
Absztrakt
This research is focusing on air travel and airport security measures after 9/11 attacks. It provides a clear understanding of why these restrictions were implemented and it questions their efficiency. First of all, it provides a clear information of people's attitudes before and after the attacks and also about their awareness and fear-based responses after the tragedy. Moreover, the paper concentrates on the pre-flight restrictions and airport security by analysing its financial consequences and convinience. Last but not least, it gives information about the restrictions that are being considered as a violation of civil rights, focusing on racial profiling and discrimination against Arabs ans Muslims.
