My thesis focuses on how speech production in the English foreign language can be achieved from students in the classroom. The theoretical part of my paper provides a short summary on the process of First and Second Language Acquisition, as well as on the comparison of the two processes. I have found it important to include these sections so that we can get to know some more about the acquisition process, as well. The second part of the literature review includes the ways of teaching the foreign language, and more particularly, the teaching of speaking, by using the Communicative Language Teaching method. Following the theoretical background, I share my experience gained during my teaching practice in the Debrecen University Balásházy János Demonstration Secondary School. After introducing my experience of my lesson observations and language lessons taught by me, I devote a section to possible communicative activities aimed at facilitating speech production of students in the English foreign language classroom.hu_HU
