The INCOTERMS 2010 include 11 harmonized rules for the interpretation of a single trading condition. Trader have to choose eleven common conditions, which are the most appropriate. The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) encourages "multimodal" (FCA, CPT, CIP, etc.) instead of "sea" INCOTERMS (FAS, FOB, CFR and CIF). According to the ICC, the sea clauses are inadequate and therefore cannot be used in container trade as the seller does not ship the container on board but most often hand over the goods to the carrier at an inland point or terminal. In the first part of my thesis I present the different INCOTERMS type, focusing on the liability of the seller and the buyer. Furthermore, I will show the INCOTERMS in the judicial practice and try to give some examples on how to use and not use the INCOTERMS.hu_HU
