Absztrakt
The Trail of Tears is a series of events in the history of the United States that refers to removing thousands of Native Americans from their ancestral lands in the Southeast and forcing them west to Indian Territory, in present-day Oklahoma. The thesis focuses on the Cherokee's experience of the Trail of Tears. After an initial ethnographic and historical introduction, it focuses on the procedure that caused thousands to suffer and die. Finally, it presents several works of art through which the legacy of the Trail of Tears lives on.
