The thesis presents and discusses Cartoon Network’s 2013-2020 animated original, Steven Universe, from the standpoint of queer representation in children's media. The paper examines the fictional concept of fusion with its representational and symbolic implications to continue on discussing the character of Garnet, her queer love story and on-screen significance.
