Drugs Which Influence Cardiovascular Risk Factors
Absztrakt
Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death globally. Coronary heart disease risk factors are conditions or habits that raise the risk of coronary heart disease (CHD) and heart attack. These factors can be divided into two main groups: non-modifiable risk factors (such as gender, age and family history) and modifiable risk factors (hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hypercholesterinaemia, smoking, sedentary lifestyle, unhealthy diet, obesity). Many classes of drugs which we use to treat different conditions can in one way or the other influence the heart over all health. In the thesis we discuss different drugs and their influence on the cardiovascular system.
