In this thesis I am examining genre-specific translation by defining it, placing translation into a historical context, researching some of the most important people who contributed to the development of translation. The main goal of my research is to examine the fundamentals of translation which help bettering the work of translators and to suggest solutions to certain instances of existing translations. The focal points are media translation and poetry translation; in these parts the emphasis is also placed on a discussion that presents examples to translation problems.hu_HU
