My aim is to review, compare and contrast the treatment possibilities of the general dentists’ having in the treatment and care of patients with Cleft Lip and Palate. Read, review and appraise literature in the form of journals, research studies, books, and guideline documents from reputable sources. Identify prevalence and complicated aetiology. List the various methods of classification to diagnose clefts. Highlight functional considerations for the patient. Discuss the importance of sequence and timing for treatment plans involving the varied specialities. List the dental interventions and their various roles and responsibilities.
