Millions of readers have loved Pride and Prejudice (1813) for almost 200 years and many consider it one of the best love stories of all time. Some also see it as an important piece of feminist literature. Elizabeth Bennet’s unconventional ways of challenging the limits of gendered space and the struggle to find the right husband and a ‘space of her own’ have inspired generations of feminists. Austen’s use of ideals and space to empower the heroine is a topic that will surely attract many more researchers in years to come.hu_HU
