In my thesis I analyse how Hungarian representations of Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four join the themes of the novel with the images of Hungarian communist era. I point out how these two topics are combined in the examined pieces of popular culture and how the world of the Orwellian fiction becomes inseparable from Hungarian reality.hu_HU
