| dc.description.abstract | The subject of this thesis, after examining some theoretical questions on second language listening, is to consider in what ways Hutchinson’s Lifelines Pre-Intermediate and Gude and Duckworth’s Matrix Pre-Intermediate coursebooks serve the purpose of teaching listening, and, at the same time, which of them meets the requirements of the CEFR.
