Combined impact of different stress factors on Pumpkins(Cucurbita pepo L.)
Absztrakt
Current worldwide climate changes have subjected this crop to drought stress at various phases of vegetative growth, and pumpkin has been observed to be more resistant to certain abiotic stressors than other legumes and crops.
As a source of energy, light is essential for photosynthesis and accumulation-assimilation, as well as for plant development and output. This thesis aims to analyze and compare different parameters of pumpkin under abiotic stresses when they are subjected to drought, light, and hydrogen peroxide treatment. This analysis was conducted by comparing the 2 abiotic stresses by 6 different physiological and morphological parameters of pumpkin. The necessary data was collected on six parameters: growth parameters, stomatal conductance, relative chlorophyll content, total chlorophyll content (Chla and Chlb), carotenoids(x+c), lipid peroxidation, and secondary metabolites were collected and entered a database.
