    Cross-border Mergers and Acquisitions in the Financial Sector

    The purpose of this essay is to briefly overview of the regulation of cross-border mergers and acquisitions (hereinafter: M&As). This essay mainly deals with the regulation of cross-border M&As in general with a particular focus on the financial sector, and aims to identify motives and drivers, as well as barriers which may have deterrent effect on the volume of these deals. Trends of cross-border transactions in the financial sector are also presented.
