The pro-inflammatory cytokines, tumor necrosis factor -α (TNF-α) induces damage in the intestinal barrier. The aim of this study was to compare and investigate the effect of anthocyanin extract on barrier functions on Caco-2 and HaCaT monolayers. The beneficial effect of Anthocyanin extract indicates that it could be protective against inflammatory bowel disease. Risk factors of hypertension can be divided into modifiable (e.g. salt intake,smoking etc...) and non-modifiable (e.g age,gender etc...) risk factors.Many factors can contribute to rise in blood pressure such as SANS and RAAS.
