Therefore, my aim is to prove that the uniqueness of Mexican cuisine derives from the fact that it has been influenced by both the Aztecs who were the settlers of the country and by Europeans like the Spanish and that it has played a major role in its popularity. Also, I wish to prove that the globalization of Mexican cuisine could happen both due to historical events, including the Mexican-American War; changes of the cultural ideas in the USA, including a shift from the idea of the melting pot to the salad bowl, the appearance of travelers and the way it is represented in culture, including holidays and several forms of media, including TV shows, videos, blogs and books which has become well-known all over the world.
