The Role of Self in Vocabulary Learning

This paper investigates whether we can improve the material of vocabulary learning with the help of the presence of self. To examine the efficiency of self-reference effect three groups were instructed to process the target words through traditional examples, self-aided dialogues and learner-generated sentences. Another aim of the research is to compare the different presentation modes applied, whether they lead to disparate vocabulary knowledge.
