Translating Opinion Press: an Interpretive Approach

Abstract

The thesis seeks to demonstrate some of the complexities of the translation process by aligning sentence pairs, supposed to represent issues around explicitation, implicit contents and author involvement. I shall apply an interpretive approach in the translation of opinion press and make a text-level analysis of how we understand rather complex source texts along with a reflection on how to best translate them.
