In this thesis I examine the relation between Tao and Logos based on the cultural contexts each one relies on, the inquiry begins with the Protestant Chinese Bible which accepted Tao as the translation of Logos (Word), while it is not my intention to either defend or demolish the approach taken by the translation here. With the insight offered by this translation, I set on to present how Logos and Tao could intertwine with each other, but also face the danger of meaninglessness in one another’s culture if not treated with caution.
