This thesis examines the link between elected leaders' education and economic performance in Botswana, South Africa, and Mozambique. Drawing from neoclassical and endogenous growth theories, it finds a positive correlation between leaders' higher education levels and economic development. The study emphasizes the importance of investing in education for sustained economic growth, contributing valuable insights to existing literature.
