The Effects of Using Authentic Videos and Music on the Development of Listening Skills and Motivation in the EFL Classroom

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the effects of using authentic videos and songs in the EFL classroom, indeed the motivating factor behind the mentioned materials. First, I will introduce the topic by summarizing the results of some former studies that dealt with the use of authentic and technology-based materials. Second, I will introduce materials and exercises I used in my class. Finally, I will show the outcomes of the study by evaluating students’ questionnaires.
